Ana Maria Leal-Yepes

Ana Maria Leal-Yepes, Senior Sustainability Consultant 

Ana holds degrees in Business from Rochester Institute of Technology, Arts in Industrial Design from Rochester IT, and Sustainable Systems from Golisano Institute for Sustainability. Her core qualifications include the execution of environmental product declarations, health product declarations, cradle to cradle certification assessments, recyclability studies for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) directive, LCAs, and sustainability training and eco design. She has over ten years of environmental sustainability experience including setting direction for sustainable products and packaging. She participated in the update of the Environmental standard IEEE 1680-1 Standard for the Environmental Assessment of Personal Computers Products. In addition, she helped developed the product category rules for the life cycle assessment of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) equipment for the EU PEF pilot project. She contributed to the NSF/ANSI 426 Environmental Leadership Standard for Servers.

  • She is a community fellow of the Global Environmental and Economic Opportunity group of the University of Central Florida, where she assist on environmental initiatives for the local and regional community.
  • She is an advisor of the non-profit Restaurantes que Inspiran that works to make the restaurant industry sustainable while educating the consumers.
