Transparent Carbon Footprint Process (No models needed)

Small organic farmers need to be able to get their story out that they are as sustainable as larger farms in spite of the perceived efficiency for a larger operation.

Approach:
JBE worked with a family farm to develop an easy-to-follow carbon footprint for the farm and incorporated the results in to a short self-published book for Amazon.

Impact:
The report demonstrated the impact reduction that was achieved by adding a solar array to the farm.The resulting methodology is accessible to other farmers that may wish to evaluate the sustainability of their methods compared to this farm.
