Temis Coral, Intern
Temis Coral has a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and Bachelor’s Degrees in both Chemical Engineering and Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. She also complemented her education with a certificate in Community Based Environmental Management and a certificate in International Development Policy both from Duke University.
Temis has seven years of experience on operations consulting, manufacturing processes, product design and environmental management in several sectors including consumer goods, food products, mining, construction and environmental NGO’s. She has worked in Colombia, Chile and United States.
Her sustainability experience includes setting roadmaps to achieve scope 3 Science-Based Targets, life cycle assessments for health products, defining growing strategies for environmental NGOs, project management of sustainable development projects, and benchmarking SDGs implementation initiatives. Temis has been trained in sustainability reporting, sustainable business strategy and environmental conflict management.
Additionally, Temis is an empowered woman, Latina and mother, convinced that enacting diversity by means of dialogue is the only real option to achieve sustainable solutions. She lives at Durham, NC with her husband, her baby girl and their fluffy dog. She enjoys her free time watching movies and cooking for her family.
